I just upgraded to a new laptop with Windows 7 x64 and am not able to install my Brother HL printer. It runs on a USB connection, but Windows comes up with a driver error when it tries to install automatically.
I downloaded a Windows 7 driver from the Brother website and installed it the wizard claims it's installed , but it still isn't working. If I try to use the Windows troubleshooter, nothing gets resolved. If I try to tell Windows to update the driver with the new software from Brother, it refuses and claims that my current driver software is the newest version.
